Staying in fashion can be challenging for today's active male. With this in mind I give you these tips that will hopefully make the decision of what to wear, and when, easier for you...
The Staples:
T-shirt: This can have pretty much any graphic you wish.
* Bonus points for
Sacramento Kings Tees
* When attending City Council Meetings you need to wear a
Crown Downtown Tee.
* No Ed Hardy People! This should go without saying...
Shorts: Any color or print is fine as long as they are knee length.
* No "short shorts" or bike shorts.
Flip Flops: Any type/brand is fine. I prefer the
"Mick Fanning" Reef model w/built-in bottle opener for Sierra Nevada Pale Ale.
* If you drink beer with a twist-off you won't need the "Mick Fannings".
Accessories: Beanies or hats of any kind can be added to your ensemble at random.
Cold Weather Tips (For when it gets below 50 degrees):
Hoodie: This can be added for warmth.
* Once again bonus points for Sacramento Kings logos
Shoes: These can be any type (I prefer skate style or Chucks). When combined with socks this helps maintain body temperature.
* Black socks (non dress) with shorts are perfectly fine folks!
* If you drink Sierra Nevada Pale Ale you will need to carry a bottle opener since you no longer have your "Mick Fannings"...
Caveats:
* When attending sporting events layers are important, as in, a jersey over your T-shirt...
* It's fine to go w/o a shirt as long as the establishment you are at allows it.
* If for some reason you see me wearing pants it means I had to go into the office that day or attended a wedding or funeral.
That's pretty much it guys! These tips have kept me in fashion for over 30 years, or as my wife likes to say, "no they haven't". Hopefully they make the stress of "what to wear" a little less painful for you.
